This is an excellent read! I read avidly for self development and learning to help me in my journey to achieving greater financial success.
I have read numerous books since starting on this journey 5 years ago but Karen's book highlights an important point. If we are not aware of our money values and bias and what these are doing for us, how can we improve?
This book has helped me in recognizing the mindsets that lead to my specific behaviours. More importantly though which things my mindset is currently causing me to do and what I should and should not continue to do. For those seasoned learners I am sure, even you, will learn something new.
I would highly recommend this book.
An absolutly super book! well written, humerous and deep yet the author Karen Sutton-Johal has kept it light easy reading which is no mean feat! Karens research into human nature, the relationshipe we have with money is phonomnal...she hits it bang on. Most of us don't even realise that we have an attitude to money and those that do tend to groan about it.This is a fantastic tool to change our lives for the better without much work! The 4 Money Mindsets is an inspiring and down to earth book which makes us look at ourselves and our relationship with money, this in turn makes us look at other parts of our life in the same light...how we were programmed at a young age to think in a certain way etc. After reading this book and having a good laugh and a serious think you will find yourself implementing changes in your life and instantly having a more positive and comfortable relationship with not only your money but other peoples too! This book is a super tool, a keeper. Its the type of book you need to buy two of otherwise you will never have your own to read!
There are only a few books I’ve read that stick in my mind, and even fewer that cause me to take action and change my mindset. There’s one book I’m reading, though, that has changed, no, transformed my life immediately.
The author, Karen Sutton-Johal, achieves the impossible in this invaluable book. She brings her experiences of her childhood and combines this back story with her experience as a debt counsellor and money coach.
It’s not one of those Tony Robbins-esque motivational books about change being within you, and you can conquer the world, and all that nonsensical and vacuous crap. It’s full of practical advice, exercises and knowledge that enable you to see through the fog of this thing called money in an accessible manner.
As a result of reading just a third of this book, my Mindset towards Money is changing.
